No one prepares you for life after having had twins.
I was sleep-deprived, out of shape with back pain and recovering from ankle surgery when I found Kura. I worried I was too unfit to even enter the gym.
But those thought melted away when I walked in the doors. Melissa (my coach) believed in me – she tailored my workouts and encouraged me to get more sleep, be present while working out, and value quality over quantity. The combination worked! Results have come faster than I had hoped, and completely validated Kura’s individual approach.
The coaches are supremely talented and knowledgeable focusing on the quality vs. faster and heavier reps. As a former marathon runner, this was a bit of a new way of thinking, since I used to prioritize logging mile after mile. I had never really thought about growth goals for my gym beyond just showing up, but the coaches have both your present and future in mind and give you the tools to achieve current goals while setting you on a path to go farther than you imagined.
Lastly I could not write this without talking about the community, it is amazing! Supportive, friendly, and inspiring. Clients range from 20’s-60’s, men & women, ‘getting back into it’ to fitness professionals. You see fellow athletes on a regular basis and while everyone is focused and working hard, there is also always a lot of laughter along aside. You walk in with a daily program and walk out feeling strong with the pride of accomplishment among friends.
