We at OPEX Kura embrace change. These times have offered us the opportunity to show our resiliency and power of healthy habits. We’ve dealt with a lot of change already, adapting to at-home workouts and remote check-ins. We can adapt to the changes this requires too. Our community is strong and we can do this together.
Before we get to the full details we want to take a minute to kindly ask that you practice extra patience with our coaches and your fellow members while we transition into a new normal in the coming weeks. The small steps we each take today can make a big difference to our larger community and city.
If you have concerns about returning to the gym, please let us know. We will do everything we can to answer your questions and keep you feeling safe.
We will take every precaution that we can, but members must weigh their own risk factors before deciding to come in.
The government recommends caution when considering visiting facilities for those over 40 years of age and those with underlying risk factors:
If you have any concerns about returning to the gym or aren’t sure if you fall into one of these categories, please let us know immediately.
What you can expect when you’re back at the gym.
All members will be required to register for their work out session BEFORE entering the facility. Members will not be permitted to show up without registering.
Registration will allow OPEX Kura to track who was at the facility each day and at what time. We will be taking contact tracing very seriously and ask all members to do the same.
Each session will be limited to six members every 75 minutes with a 15-minute break between sessions for disinfecting and sanitizing.
Members will not be permitted to bring their kids to the facility until the physical distancing requirement has been lifted.
The new session times are outlined in Acuity. Please check TrueCoach for full details on our new schedule.
When arriving at the facility please follow the physical distancing markers on the floor entering the facility. Only one person will be permitted in the front room at a time.
Upon entering the facility, the floor coach on duty will ask you if you are experiencing symptoms or are sick. Please answer truthfully. If you are found to be symptomatic, you will be asked to leave immediately.
Next, please follow the sanitizing instructions posted at the front and head to your workout station with all of your belongings.
The front room will be closed to house personal belonging until further notice.
There will be instructions and signage available onsite, in TrueCoach, and emailed directly to all members should you need a quick reminder of our new policies.
Once you arrive at your training station, you will notice that it has already been equipped with the majority of the equipment you will need to complete your workout with all the extras to make your time in the gym feel like time the gym.
There may be a few items that you have to grab from the racks and shelves. We ask that you grab everything you need for your workout before you get started to eliminate the need to leave your training area during your session.
The gym will be stocked with disposable sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, garbage bins, Kleenex, and few extra goodies to elevate your training. We ask that you wipe your equipment down before and after use.
NOTE:
Members will be required to remain in their training area for the duration of their workout unless they need to access the bathroom.
Community chalk, whiteboards, and markers will not be made available at this time as they cannot be properly disinfected between sessions. Please bring your own chalk and a print out of your workout.
Our cellphone policy will still be enforced. Please leave your phone in your bag.
We will also be strictly enforcing the physical distancing policy between clients. Our floor coach will work with a three-strike rule. If you are asked twice to remain in your area the third request will be to exit the facility immediately.
If you require supplementary gear such as a yoga mat, mobility gear, foam rollers, skipping ropes, etc. please bring them from home. We will not be providing these items for sanitary purposes.
Upon completion of your workout members will be required to wipe down all of their equipment with the disposable wipes located at their station.
Please leave ALL of the equipment you used at your station! The floor coach will return it to the racks after it has been fogged.
Check your station to ensure you have all of your belongings and head to the front room. Follow the instructions located in the front room and exit the facility immediately.
